Rincon in January

Ricky and I headed up to the Rincon this particular day in January, knowing the swell, tide and wind would be ideal. Seeing swell all along the coast was really ramping up our anticipation level. We scored a great parking place three spaces from the trail head, and at that point I had a feeling that things were going our way! We caught a glimpse of the surf walking in, and it looked really good, stoke level high! We planned to spend most of the day surfing and shooting and as it turned out, was a good call. Rincon in Winter is a great place to shoot, it draws some of surfing’s elite out of the woodwork from all corners of the world. This day we were not surprised to see Kilian Garland, Aaron Ernst, Damien Hobgood and a handful of other local and visiting pros.
